What Their Teachers Say: (From Glassdoor)
I worked at Magic Ears full-time for less than a year
Pros
Flexible schedule and the pay is reasonable for this type of work.
Cons
Horrible staff. They are rude and have a racist mentality. I have been teaching ESL for other companies for years and never dealt with so many constant emails and messages from any company. They want you to teach like a robot. You must land on this page at this exact time. You were 30 seconds early to this page. Just too much headache for only a few classes. The teachers are not appreciated at all. You are disposable to them and it shows. They think there is an endless supply of teachers.
I have been working at Magic Ears part-time for less than a year
Pros
The company offers true flexibility as it is promised. There is an opportunity to set a schedule, while earning beyond set hours with standby classes! The pay is higher than many online ESL companies. You are held to a high standard of teaching and given a coach from the beginning. The teaching platform is very interactive.
Cons
You may have to pay a small fee for funds to be deposited to your online PayPal or banking accounts.
