Review:
PROS:
- One of few online platforms helping people rent out their parking spaces or driveways
- Paid almost immediately for rentals by either Chase QuickPay, direct deposit, or PayPal. (If you use PayPal, you’ll also be subject to the site’s 3% fee.)
- Well established in Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison, Wisconsin
CONS:
- It is not available everywhere
- No difference in the cost of renting a spot for a day vs. a few hours
- There is a penalty if hosts cancel a parking reservation, but the penalty is not clearly defined
- The possible penalties ranged from public shaming to a $50 fine. It seems that in all cases of host cancellation, the host would pay ParqEx’s lost commission of 15% of the rental amount
There are two other parking apps reviewed on HustleVida to check out — CurbFlip and Pavemint
