Review:

Remote is a job search site that specializes in professional services ranging from web design to project management.

PROS:

  • Applicants can sign up at no cost and get matched to jobs that meet their skill level and interests. If you receive a match, you can apply for these jobs free of charge.
  • It appears that the free membership could help find some job opportunities, and some may be lucrative.

CONS:

  • If you want to apply for a job without an invitation, an upgrade from the basic (free) membership to the $19 to $49 per month pro memberships is required.
  • According to the site’s terms and conditions, if you sign up for the pro membership, you are committed to paying monthly fees for at least 6 months. It is unclear whether the pro memberships justify the relatively high cost.

“Remote has a consumer rating of 3.3 stars from 23 reviews indicating that most consumers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Remote also ranks 46th among Work At Home sites.”

“It has been almost 6 month that I am working with several clients from Remote. Always get paid and can talk to clients on the platform. Oh and the page looks great, modern and sleek. I have brought 2 more friends of mine to join and we are satisfied. I recommend this platform.”

“I am working with a client on remote.com right now and was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it is to log time and withdraw money. The cool part is that you can also look for a full time company job while doing small projects and gigs for individual clients. Also thought is nice that you can apply to jobs for free when you get invited. Thought it was good to try out the platform first.”

“I was on the hunt for a site that listed “work from home” type jobs and was not really sure about any one site in particular. Lots of mixed reviews out there and some reviews (most) aren’t even helpful or seem legit. Upon setting up my account with Remote.com I was a bit cautious, again all the mixed reviews.

However my experience could not get any better, I don’t think.

Firstly, the website is really nice and easy to follow, creating an account or profile can be done in no time. You can either enter your info yourself or update it with the information on Linkedin.

Second, there were tons of jobs, really good jobs and from big well known companies. The job board gets updated everyday and you get sent notifications of jobs you may be a fit for according to your info.

Third, its free!! Nothing is really free anymore but this site is.

If your curios about remote work check this website out!!

Tip for consumers: Please read the prompts!! Each step in creating your profile is basically explaining what will happen next, there are really no surprises here. Just read.”
